International Students

Welcome to UC Davis and the College of Biological Sciences!

The College of Biological Sciences is unique in its advising because we provide a complete approach at the Biology Academic Success Center (BASC).  We have a dedicated International Academic Advisor who works with all of our international students, regardless of major and year.  They are here to help answer questions and concerns you may have while you complete your studies at UC Davis. They are your primary point of contact for questions regarding your class schedule, completing graduation requirements, academic difficulties, changing your major and many more services.

To schedule an appointment with the International Advisor, click on the "schedule an appointment" link above.

For additional information and resources please refer to our Frequently Asked Questions for International Students and UC Davis' Services for International Students and Scholars office.

For New International Students

International student orientation will be in September, 2017. Prior to arriving, international students attended an advising webinar to learn about academic advising, course selection and registration. If you would like to review the webinar for a second time, or were unable to access it or attend, the webinar presentation is available below.

First Year Mandatory Advising

During fall quarter you will be expected to meet with your International Academic Advisor. This meeting is required, and a registration hold will be placed on your account if you fail to attend this advising session. It is designed to give you an opportunity to provide you with information and resources you will need to be a successful UC Davis student. Please use our scheduling system to schedule your mandatory advising session at a time and date that works with your class schedule.

For more information on First Year Mandatory Advising such as the deadline and what to expect, please refer to our First Year Mandatory Advising webpage for new students.
