Libo Shan, Professor, University of Michigan, presents "Functional Dynamics of Peptide-Receptor Signaling in Plant Immunity".

Libo Shan is a professor in the University of Michigan's Department of Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology, where she studies plant immune mechanisms. Earned a doctorate in plant pathology from Kansas State University, a post-doctorate at Harvard Medical School, a master's in genetics from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and a bachelor’s in Biochemistry from Beijing Normal University. Her research focuses on how plants sense infections to protect themselves from disease. She is also an elected associate member of the European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO), an honor that recognizes her significant achievements in life sciences.
